WRM officially closed On a Majority of Darling Ingredients’ Trap Grease Business

This acquisition strengthens our mission to protect water resources and expand our liquid waste management footprint across the region. We want to be the first to tell you what it means, what’s changing, and — more importantly — what is not.

Growing the Mission That Drives Everything We Do

Waste Resource Management (WRM) is the holding company behind Southwaste Disposal, serving Texas and Florida; McDonald Farms Enterprises in Colorado; and Silver City Processing in Las Vegas. Each company operates with the same guiding principle: Saving Water. Protecting the Environment.

That motto is not a tagline — it is why we do this work.

In 2025 alone, WRM recycled more than 275 million gallons of water across our operations. That number represents restaurants, commercial kitchens, food processors, and businesses of every size trusting us to handle their liquid waste responsibly. We are proud of it. And we are not done.

With our acquisition of Darling Ingredients’ trap grease collection and processing assets from Dar Pro Solutions, we are committing to triple that environmental impact over the next year. The addition of these assets — the equipment, the service routes, and the infrastructure that Dar Pro customers depend on — gives us the capacity to divert significantly more grease from water systems and process it into reusable resources.

This is not growth for its own sake. Every gallon we recycle is a gallon that does not damage municipal water systems, clog infrastructure, or contribute to environmental harm. That is the work, and this acquisition allows us to do more of it.

What This Means for Dar Pro Customers

We understand that transitions create questions. Here is what every current Dar Pro customer should know:

  • Your service continues without interruption. We are not pausing routes, restructuring schedules, or changing how your service is delivered.
  • Your pricing stays the same. The rates and terms you have today carry forward as-is.
  • Your team is staying. Many of the Dar Pro team members you know and have worked with are continuing with us. The faces at the door and the voices on the phone are largely the same.
  • Fresh investment is coming your way. What is changing is our ability to serve you better — with new investment in equipment and a strengthened commitment to customer service.

We have worked hard to make this transition seamless. You should not feel a difference in your day-to-day service. What you will notice, over time, is a team that is better equipped, better resourced, and more focused on taking care of your business.
